| "Holyrood House" is a couple of minutes walk from Vincent Street, the main street, with its restaurants, shops, and the lake. The property is nearly an acre of magnificent gardens, parts of which date back to 1864. The first part of the house was built in 1864 and was the Residence of the Town Clerk, Donald McLeod. He enlarged it in 1905 and it now contains 3 B&B rooms, all with their own facilities, and a self-contained cottage.
